Rüdiger ends up with blood-soaked jersey after scoring late goal for Real Madrid
Once again, thinking that Real Madrid will not fight until the final minute of a game backfired against Shakhtar Donetsk, but it was also cause for concern when it comes to Los Blancos' supporters.
With the game nearing its conclusion, Real Madrid flooded Shakhtar's box with crosses, and two of them found Antonio Rüdiger as their recipient. The first one of those went a bit past the post, but the other one ended up going to the back of the net to rescue a point for the defending UCL holders.
The main problem for Rüdiger was that he was not able to celebrate his goal, as he had to be taken care of by the team's medical staff after suffering a nasty cut due to the clash against goalkeeper Anatolii Trubin, who was also a bit out of shape. Rüdiger's jersey covered in blood will live forever as a testament of what a warrior the German footballer has become.
